Where do I start!! Although now retired I've been in the holiday industry for over 40 years as an owner of a holiday company and as a travel journalist. I'll keep this simple.... everything about the Torre de la Pena is amazing....at the reception we where greeted by Juan who I later learned is a director of the site...he couldn't have been more helpful and friendly...was more that happy to answer all my questions. The location is the best I've ever visited anywhere in Spain... The plots offer superb views over the sea with the the rock of Gibraltar to the left and Morroco straight ahead. When you visit the bar/restaurant you are literally on the waters edge ..food is great and very reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and attentive.. Shower blocks and toilets are very clean and you see people regularly cleaning. Even the maintenance staff looking after the site acknowledge you when you walk past... Everything is just incredibley well maintained. I can't finish without saying a special thank you to Margerat who I believe is part of the family who own the site...we meet her in the restaurant and was happy to spend time talking with us...it's just a lovely family atmosphere. Can't wait to go back...and very soon and be part of the family again.

A beautiful place, very friendly host and perfect conditions for water sport activities. Affordable and fresh bread in the morning hours. A little super market offers all stuff you need to stay for weeks and have a great time.

Nice campsite. Calm and quiet. Extremely clean facilities. Seems a bit overpriced. We parked a car and pitched a 2 person tent and paid 20€ / night. The views are great. Lots of tall pine trees so you can find a shady or sunny pitch for either a camper or tent. The vibe was chill and respectful overall. Seems you pay for location. Some noise from the highway nearby. Beach across the road, but very rocky, wouldn´t get in the water there, Nice view of the ocean and Africa though. Restaurant location and views are amazing, but the food is overpriced, probably because its only available to campers who all get 30% discount so my guess is the price is marked up for that reason. Example: toast with avocado and cheese is 10.00€ w/o the discount. So with teh discount its 7.00€, for toast, in southern Spain. Too much. 4 stars for the overall experience, but next time would pack my own food and hope they allow multiple tents on one pitch.

Great camping, with beautiful views and exceptionally clean facilities. Plenty of pitches both at the sea and towards the mountain, separated by the street. Staff speaks multiple languages. Mini market carries all necessities. Pool is nice and clean. Direct beach access available. We wanted to stay 1 night and ended up staying 7.

Lovely campsite. With beautiful views. The reception very friendly and welcoming. We had a large pitch overlooking the sea. The very long sandy beach is only a short walk away through shaded trees. It’s probably the best stretch of beach in Spain. The restaurant is fantastic for dinner or breakfast and the staff are so friendly. We only live in Malaga so we will be making this site one of our favourites

So, it is an awesome windsurfing spot you basically camp at, which was my main point for putting this spot on the bucket list. The showers and toilets are exceptionally clean. But cleanliness and location are more or less it. For what you get, the campsite is EXTREMELY expensive (4x4 with roof top tent, small tent for our son, 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs: 60€/night) and even though dogs are allowed AND need to be paid for, they still require a 50€ deposit in case "the dogs break the rules", which also include that barking is prohibited. This is so ridiculous, I cannot even be cynical about it. Pitches are relatively small, too. But that would be okay, if there wasn't the price. We stayed in St. Tropez for less, just saying. Camping guests receive 30% discount in the restaurant, which is pretty expensive for the quality of food and service offered. I guess that is down to location, too, but still... So all in all, I cannot recommend the spot as there are better options available in terms of price to performance ratio. That is very sad indeed, as I was really excited to come here as a highlight of our trip but was disappointed. We ended up leaving after one night instead of 5 due to this impudence.

This place is amazing! I think it was the best camping we've been to in Spain So far. Breathtaking view, on the one side the Beach and on the other - Africa. Nice bathrooms with hot showers. Quite mountainy and some spots are hard to park on, I guess especially for not experienced drivers. Staff was very nice and the owner speaks multiple Language which is huge advantage in my opinion. Totally recommended!
